It is with great pride and excitement that we share some incredible news…

Amy Barada has been named Rhode Island’s Direct Support Professional of the Year by ANCOR, a national association for community-based disability service providers!

Amy is part of a nationally recognized group of just 57 honorees selected from an impressive 544 nominations across the country, an extraordinary accomplishment that reflects her commitment, professionalism and the impact she makes every day.

At West Bay, we see firsthand what this recognition represents.

Amy’s work goes beyond daily supports, she consistently creates opportunities for people to build meaningful connections, explore their interests and be active, valued members of their communities. Her approach reflects what person-driven, community-based support truly looks like in action.

We are incredibly proud of Amy and grateful for the way she represents our mission of people supporting people.

Amy will be formally recognized at ANCOR Connect 2026 in Boston on April 23, where DSPs from across the country will be honored for their contributions.
