Supported Employment provides the opportunity for an individual with disabilities to progress from being labeled and segregated to becoming a productive tax-paying citizen who is included in the workplace. Individuals with varying skills are provided the necessary supports to seek and obtain gainful employment. Our team is equipped to assist an individual to identify work interests, assess necessary skills and seek employment opportunities. A job coach supports the individual to locate job openings, helps prepare the individual for job interviews and can assist an employer with training the individual in the specific job duties(if requested). The job coach can also provide on the job supports for the individual to learn any additional or new duties and to assist in resolving any concerns to ensure job retention.
The employment team strives to maintain an open and supportive relationship with our employers. When necessary, job accommodations and assistive technology is utilized to ensure the employee is working to their best potential.
