Cranston Voices Group

Cranston Voices

This group is affiliated with the statewide advocacy group Advocates in Action. Self-advocates are encouraged to find their own voices and speak up about issues that are important to them and become active in promoting relevant causes at the state level. The membership of Cranston Voices is made up of individuals from several human service agencies throughout the state of RI. Meetings occur on the 2nd Tuesday of each month from 6-7 PM at West Bay’s office. The group discusses personal concerns and experiences, as well as planning projects to benefit others in their communities.

To date, they have collected winter coats for Amos House, pet food for The Cranston Animal Shelter, and coloring books and crayons for Hasbro Children’s Hospital. The group has also handcrafted three quilts; two for Crossroads and one for a veteran’s home in Providence, RI.
